All Bimos ESD chairs are available in a low and a high version. The ergonomically correct seat height depends on the height of the bench and the height of the employee using the chair.

Safe equipment for high and low ESD chairs

All high and low workplace chairs at Bimos are equipped in accordance with standard DIN 68 877-1 and -2. High workplace chairs in particular carry risks that do not arise with low chairs. It is therefore essential to pay particular attention to the safety and stability of a high chair.

ESD castors

If a chair is frequently moved back and forth, the castors that are fitted to all low chairs are suitable.
The rolling performance is dependent on the floor type so it is important to adapt the castors to the surface underneath. Hard castors are suitable for soft floors such as carpet. Soft castors, on the other hand, are suitable for hard floors such as stone floors or PVC. Bimos chairs are equipped with soft castors as standard.

ESD glides

All high Bimos chairs are equipped with glides according to DIN 68877-1 as standard. They are large, abrasion-resistant plastic glides and provide excellent stability. This means that the chair cannot slip away, neither when stepping up onto it nor when making movements while sitting. The slim, flat design of the glides also minimises the risk of tripping over the base.

ESD Stop & Go castors

If the chair is to remain mobile, Stop & Go castors are the perfect alternative. These castors automatically lock into position under weight – the chair is then completely secure. Stop & Go castors can be retrofitted to all high and low Bimos ESD chairs.

Base with ESD glides and mounting aid

ESD mounting aids

From a height of 650 mm, all high chairs are equipped with a mounting aid complying with standard DIN 68877-1. The mounting aid enables the employee to mount and dismount the chair safely. It is height adjustable and can be folded up, out of the way. In order to allow an ergonomic sitting posture on high chairs, additional footrests may be installed.

Movement and reach ranges

When working at an ESD workplace, there are always situations in which employees need a lot of freedom of movement. For example, if a table trolley needs pulling up, a finished product needs to be placed in an open-fronted storage bin behind the chair or a tool is taken from a perforated panel attached to the side. An ergonomic chair supports all these movements thanks to its form and functions.

Flexible Lösung für kurze, wechselnde Tätigkeiten

At some ESD workstations, there are frequent changes of employees. At others, employees spend only a short time in one place. Or an ESD workplace might be spatially limited and a workplace chair would take up too much space. For these situations, Bimos offers slim ESD standing rests and practical ESD stools. Like the chairs, these are fully conductive and offer additional flexibility of use.
