The chair for reliable discharge

The discharge of electrostatic voltages is made possible by all the materials and the connection technology used in the ESD NEON. Not only do the castors and glides discharge voltages directly into the floor, but the plastic back shell, the upholstery and the coated steel parts are also conductive. Now, reliable overall discharge can be guaranteed.

The aim of all EPAs (ESD Protected Areas) is to consistently prevent electrostatic charges and uncontrolled discharge. The EN 61340-5-1 standard specifies the required resistances, but Bimos ESD chairs fulfil even stricter requirements.

Artificial leather is also a very soft and particularly comfortable ESD cover material. Our Bimos artificial leather contains neither plasticisers nor phthalates, which means the artificial leather stays soft and smooth even after extended use. Soldering, mounting, assembling – forward-leaning tasks with short hand-eye distances in particular require a lot of concentration. The ergonomics package of the ESD NEON ensures that the workplace chair can be adapted to the individual in all aspects so that employees can concentrate fully on their work.

Adjustment functions – the man is the measure

No aspect of the workplace has as great an impact on health as ergonomic design. That's why the NEON is the foundation not only for efficiency and error-free work, but also for physically healthy employees and a reduction in sick days. The numerous adjustment options make sitting comfortable and thereby cause people to feel safe during their day to day work.

Weight adjustment

The backrest counterpressure can be continuously adjusted for weights between 50 and 120 kg, using a pivoted lever. This enables all employees to sit dynamically.

Seat depth adjustment

The seat depth allows the seat surface to be adjusted by 60 mm. This creates the ideal support surface for the thighs and allows the chair to be adapted to the employee's individual build.

Backrest height adjustment

The backrest height can be adjusted by up to 60 mm, ensuring that the lumbar spine is optimally supported – regardless of body height.

4D-armrests

The armrests of the NEON are optional. They offer good support for arms and shoulder girdles and help to relieve stress on the upper body. They can be adjusted by 110 mm in height to suit individual requirements.

The width of the armrests can be adjusted by 60 mm.

The depth of the multifunctional armrests can be adjusted by 20 mm.

The armrests can be swivelled in and out with an angle range of +/-45°.

Seat inclination adjustment

With this adjustment, the seat can be tilted forward up to an angle of 9° in combination with the backrest. The seat inclination adjustment guarantees a seat angle of at least 90° between the back and thigh. This function is particularly helpful when working with a small hand-to-eye distance in a forward-leaning position.

It is essential that the height of the seat is adapted to height of the person. The angles between the upper body and legs as well as the upper and lower legs are particularly important. The adjustable seat height of the NEON is particularly large, with a range of up to 280 mm.

Synchronous mechanism

The synchronous mechanism was developed to enable employees to sit actively and dynamically. When leaning back, the backrest and seat move with the user. As a result, the lumbar spine remains permanently supported and the employee is supported in all movements. The backrest can be locked in all positions.

Permanent contact backrest

The slightly simpler and proven alternative is the permanent contact backrest, where only the backrests move. With this mechanism, the backrests can also be locked in all positions.

anti-shock protection

An anti-shock safety device prevents the backrest from springing forward accidentally when the lock is released.

Changeable upholstery

Simple and clever: The changeable upholstery system

A special feature of the NEON is the changeable upholstery system. Both the back and seat upholstery can be removed and replaced in just a few simple steps. With the NEON and its changeable upholstery, you are investing in sustainability and economic efficiency. If the upholstery is damaged or the chair is used in a different work area with different requirements, you can quickly replace the upholstery without having to replace the entire chair.
