Fabric
Some industrial environments allow the use of a fabric upholstery. The fabric used for Bimos chairs is particularly hard-wearing. The breathable material can absorb and release moisture, creating a pleasant seating climate. The fabric upholstery ensures a particularly soft and extremely comfortable seat.

Synthetic leather
The synthetic leather used at Bimos is easy to wash and is resistant to cleaning agents and disinfectants. Even oils and grease cannot damage it. Overall, it is very hard-wearing and easy to clean. The surface of the synthetic leather is particularly soft and comfortable.

Skintec
The soft upholstery core offers exceptional seating comfort, while the entire upholstery structure impresses with its remarkable robustness and high durability. Even with intensive use, the material retains its shape, is easy to clean and is resistant to commercially available disinfectants. Thanks to an innovative, environmentally friendly manufacturing method, Skintec is completely free of harmful substances. It therefore combines consistent sustainability with comfort, aesthetic quality, high levels of hygiene safety and a remarkably long service life.

Robust materials
Certified safety and quality
The stability and safety of our chairs have, of course, been tested and certified. They meet or even exceed all current applicable standards. All Bimos workplace chairs comply with the standard DIN 68877 for industrial and workplace chairs, which specifies dimensions and safety measures. In addition, all chairs have been certified with the GS mark by TÜV-Rheinland and come with a 10-year warranty. All materials used are of a special quality and work together to create chairs built for stability and durability.
Requirements
Risk minimisation
Safety guidelines are no obstacle for us, in fact they drive us to exceed the requirements of the standards. This is why we co-operate with renowned research institutes such as the Fraunhofer Institute or ETH Zurich when we develop chairs for the work performed at industrial workplaces.
It goes without saying that all our chairs are safe to handle. The risk of pinching and crushing when adjusting the chairs has been eliminated; mounting aids are non-slip; high chairs over 650 mm tall are equipped only with glides or Stop-and-Go castors; and all bases have at least five support points to ensure that the chair cannot tip over.
