Equipment in the cleanroom

The right chair for each work situation

Assembly work, pipetting, product control, machine operation – there is a wide range of activities in the cleanroom. Some are carried out at normal work benches, others at high workstations or instruments; when using some equipment, employees sit for only short periods or there are standing workstations. Bimos offers a safe cleanroom chair version for every situation.

CLEANROOM TEXON and ESD properties: Overall ESD discharge across all components in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1; volume-conductive plastics and conductive comfort upholsteries; steel parts with a conductive coating; typical discharge resistance of ten to the power of six ohms

Chair height

Different workplace heights

The height of the workstation determines the correct height for the chair. All Bimos cleanroom chairs are therefore also available in a high version. These are designed to DIN 68 887-1 standard. Irrespective of the workstation, each chair must also be individually adjusted to the height of the employee and the working height.

Not sure which height is the most ergonomic for you? Get in touch, we are happy to advise you – whether by video call, on the phone or in person.

Safety

Safe equipment for high and low chairs

High is not the same as low. In fact, a high cleanroom chair places different demands on the other equipment. These include important safety features that reduce the risk of accidents and contribute to better ergonomics.

Base with dissipative glides

Glides

High Bimos chairs are equipped with abrasion-resistant ESD glides as standard. Thanks to their large surface area and flat design, they offer excellent stability and minimise the risk of tripping. They ensure that employees do not slip when climbing up or sitting down.

Base with dissipative Stop & Go castors

Stop & Go castors

If the chair is frequently moved back and forth, it is possible to retrofit Stop & Go castors, which don't lock in position until someone sits in the chair.

Base with dissipative castors

Castors

The castors are ideal for low chairs and allow a great deal of flexibility and manoeuvrability in the cleanroom. They are also standardised as an ESD version.
As a general rule of thumb, choose soft castors for hard floors and hard castors for soft floors. The cleanroom chairs are fitted with soft castors as standard.

Base with dissipative glides and mounting aid

Mounting aids

All cleanroom chairs above a height of 650 mm are equipped with a mounting aid in accordance with DIN standard 6877-1. The mounting aid enables employees to get on and off the chair safely.
Like the base, the mounting aid is made of chrome-plated steel with dissipative plastic parts that have an anti-slip effect.

Equipment

ESD protection as standard

ESD protection plays a particularly important role in the cleanroom. Consequently, all cleanroom chairs from Bimos comply with DIN EN 61340-5-1 and are electrostatically conductive.

Ultra-innovative and exclusively from Bimos:
Even the light-coloured plastic parts of the CLEANROOM TEXON are conductive and ESD-compliant thanks to the integrated steel fibres. In this regard, the CLEANROOM TEXON provides comprehensive protection in all high-tech environments.

Chair types

Workplace stool as a perfect addition

Stools are an indispensable help in the cleanroom. These slim all-rounders are the perfect addition to all places where people only sit for short periods of time or where space is limited. Just like the chairs, the cleanroom stools fulfil all the requirements that must be observed in the cleanroom and offer a safe and comfortable seat.
