Synthetic leather

Artificial leather is ideal for the laboratory. It is free from harmful phthalates, which are harmful to people and the environment, and is fire safety tested to DIN EN 1021-1 and -2 – ideal for use in areas with flammable chemicals. The artificial leather is also PVC- and plasticiser-free. This ensures it remains supple in the long term and prevents cracks in the surface.

One of the most important properties of the Bimos synthetic leather upholstery is its resistance to disinfectants. It ensures that germs and bacteria are safely removed during cleaning and that the upholstery is not damaged by the chemicals. The synthetic leather from Bimos is certified and resistant to all common disinfectants. Integral foam (PU)

If there is a greater need for robustness, then integral foam (PU) is the best choice of upholstery. The soft-touch PU foam is soft and its textured surface prevents slipping when seated. However, most important is its resistance to aggressive substances such as light acids, alkalis, oils or grease and its resistance to mechanical stress or moisture.

All materials on the NEXXIT for the laboratory are very easy to clean and easily withstand all common disinfectants. The steel and aluminium of the frame and base can be quickly wiped clean.

Functions for good ergonomics

The different sitting postures in the laboratory place a strain on the body and can quickly become a burden. Long periods of leaning forward, working at high workplaces, extremely precise tasks – these are usually the reasons why the shoulders and back become tense and other complaints such as headaches develop. This is why the NEXXIT for the laboratory is equipped with a comprehensive ergonomics package. The adjustment options allow the chair to be intuitively adapted to the task and provide optimum support for the body.

Seat depth adjustment

The seat depth can be adjusted between 400 and 460 mm and thereby allows the seat to be adapted to various leg lengths

Backrest height adjustment

The backrest can be adjusted to suit the individual upper body. It can be adjusted by up to 60 mm, which ensures continuous support for the lumbar region.

4D-armrests

The NEXXIT can be fitted with armrests to relieve the strain on the shoulders. The Bimos 4D armrests can be perfectly adjusted to suit the individual employee. The height can be adjusted up to 110 mm.

The width adjustment allows the armrests to be adjusted by 20 mm – depending on shoulder widt

The depth of the multifunctional armrests can be adjusted by up to 60 mm.

The armrests can be swivelled in and out by up to +/-45° for optimum support during any activity.

Seat inclination adjustment

The seat inclination adjustment is particularly important for forward-leaning work. With this adjustment, the seat can be tilted forward by up to 6°. The tilted seat ensures that a healthy angle of at least 90° is maintained between the thigh and upper body even when the seat is inclined.

Seat height adjustment

The height of the NEXXIT depends not only on the task, but also on the person using the chair. This is why the height of the seat can be infinitely adjusted on each chair. The adjustment ranges of the NEXXIT are between 450 and 600 mm on the low version and 570 and 820 mm on the high version.

Synchronous mechanism with automatic weight regulation

The synchronous mechanism with automatic weight regulation enables the resistance of the backrest to be adjusted independently. The seat and backrest follow the body when leaning back and thus provide optimum support for the lower back area. The range of movement of the backrest can be preset with a 3-level preselection: Full range of movement for large reach ranges, medium range of movement for dynamic sitting and locked backrest for a firm hold and for precision mechanical tasks.

3-Stufen-Vorauswahl

Über eine 3-Stufen-Vorauswahl kann der Bewegungsradius des Rückens dabei fest eingestellt werden: Stufe 1 für volles Bewegungsspektrum für große Greifräume, Stufe 2 für mittleres Bewegungsspektrum für dynamisches Sitzen und die arretierte Rückenlehne für festen Halt und bei feinmechanischen Tätigkeiten in Stufe 3.
