Strict conditions are in place for cleanrooms and measures must be taken to prevent contamination of products and processes. The cleanroom chairs must therefore fulfil the most demanding of requirements. The hygienic design of the Bimos cleanroom chairs meets these requirements and guarantees optimum cleanroom suitability. All cleanroom chairs are electrostatically conductive according to DIN EN 61340-5-1 and fulfil the strict air cleanliness class 3 according to DIN EN ISO 14644-1.

Particle safety and cleanroom qualification
Particularly strict regulations apply to cleanroom furniture in order to prevent contamination of products and processes. Bimos cleanroom chairs fulfil these regulations and guarantee maximum safety and cleanliness.
The individual components are assembled in such a way that they leave smooth, closed surfaces. The mechanisms are enclosed and the sealed upholstery is firmly bonded together using back-foaming technology. With the changeable upholstery on the CLEANROOM TEXON, even the surfaces beneath the upholstery are sealed with minimal joints. Bimos chairs reliably ensure particle emission safety, air purity and protection against electrostatic charge.

Good seat upholstery for a cleanroom chair needs to be not only easy to clean and resistant to disinfectants, but also as comfortable as possible. All the cover materials on the Bimos cleanroom chairs are designed to meet all these requirements in one.

Skintec ESD
Skintec is conductive in all colours. Even in the light grey version, electrostatic discharge is reliably dissipated by the conductive varnish. It is unique on the market – previously, upholstery with an electrostatic conductive capability was only available in dark colours. During the manufacture of the upholstery, the varnish and spray skin are sprayed into the tool mould separately. Once dried, these are filled in with cold foam. A state-of-the-art robot performs this application. This ensures not only a consistently high quality, but also an efficient and environmentally-friendly manufacturing process.

The surface of the Skintec upholstery consists of a special Bomix varnish coating. It makes the surface structure especially adaptable and, in turn, easy to clean.

Skintec is impermeable, extremely resistant and can be easily treated with all common disinfectants.

The unique combination of a thick, soft foam core and a specially coated surface offers an exceptional sitting experience that perfectly brings together comfort and functionality. Cover materials
ESD artificial leather as an ideal cleanroom solution
Bimos artificial leather ESD ticks all the boxes for cleanroom use. The artificial leather is completely conductive and prevents new electrostatic charges on the chair. The upholstery is free of PVC and plasticisers. Bimos artificial leather therefore remains permanently soft and no cracks develop in the surface. Furthermore, the material contains no hazardous phthalates and therefore poses no health risk to employees.
The artificial leather is fire-protection tested in accordance with DIN EN 1021-1 and -2 and is difficult to ignite. This property is particularly important when handling flammable chemicals.

The artificial leather is easy to wash down and to keep clean.

Easily washable, it can withstand all common cleaning agents and disinfectants. The resistance to all commercially available disinfectants has been tested and certified by OETI. This means that all cleaning instructions can be followed without hesitation and there is no risk of corrosion of the material.

Certification
When the norm is the standard
Our top-class cleanroom chairs fulfil all requirements and cleanroom standards, guaranteeing maximum safety. Certification of cleanroom suitability is essential. The cleanroom qualification of Bimos chairs has been approved by the Fraunhofer Institute. Their suitability for use in cleanrooms has been tested and confirmed in various series of tests. They have therefore been awarded the recognised Fraunhofer qualification seal.
The air cleanliness class determines the degree of purity of the air by defining binding limit values for the particle size and concentration per m³. All Bimos cleanroom chairs fulfil at least air cleanliness class 3 as defined in DIN EN ISO 14644-1 as well as Fed Standard Cleanroom Class 1.
The cleanroom qualification is not the only award that the Bimos chairs have been given. Their ESD protection complies with the EN 61340-5-1 standard and guarantees reliable discharge capacity.
Of course, the cleanroom chairs comply with the DIN 68877-1 standard, which regulates general quality and safety, are TÜV-tested and bear the GS mark.
Adjustment options
Clean and comfortable – two sides of a coin
Cleanroom suitability does not mean that comfort has to be compromised. Bimos cleanroom chairs combine maximum cleanliness with a comfortable sitting experience. The soft synthetic leather is particularly pleasant when sitting for long periods and the ergonomic adjustments ensure an optimum, relaxed posture.
